Don't miss these opportunities!!
Things are picking up at the Union Mission next week!! Here are some opportunities that you might want to take advantage of!
On Monday, 11/9, a truck will be delivering approximately 16,000 lbs of sweet potatoes to us in the parking lot beside the Clothing Store. We are expecting the truck to arrive late morning, between 10am-12 noon. These potatoes are FREE for people in the community to take as they please. Please bring your own bags or box, and spread the word to people who you think would appreciate this opportunity. There is no way to know how much or little time it will take for the potatoes to get gone, but they will be there until they are gone.
Also, we are having a dollar sale in our Clothing Store on Thursday-Saturday (12-14th). Every item in the store will be priced at $1 or less!!!!
Additionally, our annual Thanksgiving Meal will be served on Wednesday, November 25th from 11am-2pm. If you were thinking of volunteering, PLEASE SIGN UP to volunteer by stopping by our front desk or calling (252-537-3372 x23). We currently have all of the volunteers we need committed to serve from 11-2 that day, but we could still use volunteers from 7-9 and 9-11 that morning, as well as volunteers on Tuesday the 24th to help get things set up.
