Happy Birthday Union Mission!

For 60 years Union Mission has been touching the Roanoke Valley with love.  It is my pleasure and privilege to lead the work of the Mission during this historic time.    Our theme this year is based upon an old gospel song:  "In Times Like These."   It tells us that in times like these we need a Savior; our anchor.  This anchor is Jesus.    Every day someone comes into Union Mission with a need.   Many times that need is spiritual.   We offer an invitation to Christ to everyone who enters the doors of the Mission.

Thank you for your continued support of our work.   Our recent birthday celebration is a testimony to the support of the residents of the Roanoke Valley.   A truly memorable experience for all of us who came.   Thank you to our Board of Directors under the leadership of Mr. Bruce Manning.    Kathryne Hamill and her team of decorators did a splendid job.  Anna Anderson and "One Voice" inspired us with music.  Our speaker Mike Dore, from Raleigh Rescue Mission inspired us with his testimony of the ministry of Union Mission.  The video presentation prepared by Bruce Manning left us all inspired to do even more.   I thank each of you for the financial gifts to the continued support of Union Mission and do hope to see you drop by for a visit sometime in the future.
